The new Jobs for Philosophers

The American Philosophical Association will launch the new Jobs for Philosophers on October 1, 2012. The new JFP will allow employers to electronically submit and pay for job ads, which will appear on the website immediately upon APA approval. These ads, which can be purchased individually or in packs of three, will be posted for 30, 60, or 90 days.

The new JFP will also provide many advantages for job candidates:

• Ads are searchable by keyword and can be filtered by rank, AOS/AOC, location, and duration.
• Candidates can save active job listings and return to them later.
• Users can sign up for email notifications when new jobs are posted.
• Job seekers can post a CV, and employers with active listings will be able to browse resumes and contact job seekers directly.

Complimentary Subscription to Interfolio ByCommittee for APA members

This fall, the American Philosophical Association has partnered with Interfolio to give APA members and JFP advertisers a one-year complimentary subscription to Interfolio ByCommittee, a secure online committee-based decision making service, for the current academic year.

Free Interfolio Dossier membership for job candidates

Also through our partnership with Interfolio, APA members will receive a free Interfolio Dossier account.
