Jobs for Philosophers

Jobs for Philosophers (JFP), the APA’s employment bulletin, lists current academic and non-academic job openings of interest to philosophers. JFP is available online to all student associates and other members of the Association residing in the United States and Canada whose dues have been paid for the current year. JFP should not be circulated to non-members, posted in department offices, or printed and photocopied since it is the intent of the Association to have this publication available as a benefit of APA membership.

JFP has become the profession’s principal means of communication concerning employment opportunities in philosophy and in other fields of employment for which philosophical training is desirable. Placement of an ad in JFP satisfies the Affirmative Action requirement for national dissemination of all job openings, and it implies (pursuant to the policy statements by the Board of Officers published each year in JFP) institutional intent to abide by both the spirit and the letter of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employment Laws.

Jobs for Philosophers is available online. Visit the website.
