The 2013 edition of the APA’s Guide to Graduate Programs in Philosophy (informally known as the Grad Guide) is now available!
The Grad Guide, originally published biennially until the early 2000s, was relaunched last year as an annual online resource. The guide compiles data on both doctoral and master’s degree programs in philosophy at institutions throughout the US and Canada, offering prospective students, job candidates, and other members of the profession a rich resource on post-graduate education and employment in philosophy. This year’s guide has been expanded to include more demographic data as well as information on faculty, degree requirements, entry requirements, financial aid, placements, and more.

All data in the guide are self-reported by representatives of the institutions, and data are included only for institutions that completed the Grad Guide survey. If your institution is not included in the guide and would like to be, if you would like to report errors or inconsistencies in the data, or if you have suggestions for future editions of theGuide to Graduate Programs in Philosophy, please submit a Grad Guide Feedback Form.
We hope you find this year’s Grad Guide useful and look forward to expanding and improving this valuable resource each year.
