Before the ball drops…

Tonight, we celebrate a new year. But before the clock strikes midnight and the ball drops in Times Square, please take a moment to make a donation to the American Philosophical Association.
This year has been a big one for the APA, but we’re hoping 2014 will be even bigger. Help us get the New Year off to a great start by making a contribution.
Donating on our website is quick and easy.
In 2013, hundreds of members donated tens of thousands of dollars to the association, and the members of the board of officers alone raised nearly $32,000 to support the work of the association.
Please join us: make a contribution today.
Your contribution can make an especially big impact on the profession when you donate to our fund for diversity and inclusiveness. This new fund will enable the APA to increase our support of efforts to address the critical issue of diversity in philosophy. Your contribution will help the APA build a culture of inclusiveness in the philosophical community—a culture that is necessary for the long-term success of the discipline.
If you’d prefer to support the APA’s work more broadly, I encourage you to make a contribution to our general fund. Donations to this fund are directed to wherever the need is greatest, making them particularly helpful in achieving our ambitious goals for the years ahead.
Thank you for your membership and your support. I wish you a happy and healthy 2014!
With gratitude,Amy E. Ferrer
