The APA was saddened to learn of the death of Ted Cohen
(1939–2014). Cohen, a longtime philosophy professor at the University of
Chicago who worked mainly in the philosophy of art, served as president of the
APA’s Central Division in 2006-2007. He passed away on Friday, March 14, at the age of seventy-four.
A memorial service for Ted Cohen will be held on April 12 at
the University of Chicago’s Quadrangle Club.
A long-planned conference entitled Breaking Rules in honor of the work of Ted Cohen and now, sadly, in memory of the man will be held on June 6 to 8 on the campus of the Metropolitan State University of Denver. For further information contact Tim Gould at [email protected]
