The American Philosophical Association, in keeping with its
mission and goals and the association’s longstanding commitment to addressing
philosophy’s serious lack of demographic diversity, will make available up to
$20,000 in fiscal year 2016 to fund projects aiming to increase the presence

encouraged to include an alternate project description and budget at the
Proposals for both one-time and multi-year grants will be
accepted, though one-year proposals are preferred. No proposal will be funded

1, 2016. Funding will be disbursed in the first half of calendar year 2016.
All APA members are invited
to submit proposals. The deadline to submit a proposal is June 30,
2015. Please note that projects submitting proposals for diversity and
inclusiveness funding through this RFP may not also submit proposals for small
