Diversity sessions at the APA Eastern Division meeting

This year’s meeting includes a number of sessions related to diversity and inclusiveness in philosophy, including the following:
The board of officers will present the inaugural diversity institute alumni panel on Friday, January 8, from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Panelists include Claudia Garcia-Rojas, Axelle Karera, Eyo Ewara, and Perry Zurn.
In a session arranged by the APA Committee on Inclusiveness in the Profession, "Race, Ethnicity, and Latino Identity: A Conversation with Jorge Gracia," on Friday, January 8, 9:00-11:00 a.m., panelists Ivan Jaksic, Steve Tammelleo, and Naomi Zack will present their thoughts on Gracia’s work. Afterwards, Jorge Gracia will comment on the presentations.
The Society for Analytical Feminism will hold a session honoring "Claudia Card’s Feminist Philosophy" on Wednesday, January 6, 6:30-9:30 p.m. The society will also have a second session on Saturday, January 9, 11:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m., on "Feminist Political Liberalism."
The Radical Philosophy Association has arranged an author-meets-critics session with Stephen Ferguson to discuss his book Philosophy of African American Studies: Nothing Left of Blackness, on Friday, January 8, 1:30-4:30 p.m.

Advance registration rates ($105 for APA members, $145 for non-members, and $35 for student members) are available until December 23 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. After that, registration rates will increase by $50. Please note: you’ll save an additional $5 on registration fees if you don’t need a paper copy of the program. Our free meeting app will contain the full meeting program.
Please remember that all conference attendees and those participating in invited, submitted, or affiliated group sessions on the program must register for the meeting. Participants include presenters, commentators, speakers, and session chairs.
