L. Sebastian Purcell Wins the 2016 Essay Prize in Latin American Thought

The APA is pleased to announce that L. Sebastian Purcell (SUNY Cortland) has been awarded the 2016 Essay Prize in Latin American Thought for his essay, "Neltilitztli and the Good Life: On Aztec Ethics."

Purcell will receive the $500 award at the 2017 Eastern Division meeting in Baltimore, MD.

The APA's committee on Hispanics sponsors this annual prize, which is awarded to the author of the best unpublished, English-language, philosophical essay in Latin American thought. The winning essay will be published in an upcoming issue of the APA Newsletter on Hispanic/Latino Issues in Philosophy
