New additions to the diversity and inclusiveness syllabus collection

The APA committee on inclusiveness in the profession continues to review syllabi submitted for inclusion in the diversity and inclusiveness syllabus collection. We have recently added many new syllabi to the collection. Over 140 syllabi have been submitted to date, including courses specifically focused on diversity as well as courses with modules on diversity. Syllabi cover areas such as the following:

  • American Philosophy
  • Arabic and Islamic Philosophy
  • Asian and Asian-American Philosophy
  • Bioethics
  • Continental Philosophy
  • Feminist Philosophy
  • History of Philosophy

  • Introduction to Philosophy
  • Jewish Philosophy
  • Latin American Philosophy
  • LGBTQ Philosophy
  • Multicultural/World Philosophies
  • Philosophy and Disability
  • Philosophy of Action
  • Philosophy of Art
  • Philosophy of Economics
  • Philosophy of Gender
  • Philosophy of Language
  • Philosophy of Race
  • Philosophy of Religion
  • Philosophy of Science
  • Philosophy of Sex and Love
  • Philosophy of Sport
  • Social and Political Philosophy

The syllabi are available on the APA website and may be used as resources for those teaching philosophy to create more diverse and inclusive courses. This is an ongoing project, and additional syllabi will be added as they are received.
