The American Philosophical Association (APA), along with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas's philosophy department, is pleased to announce the 5th annual APA Lecture, "Stopping Sexual Harassment: What Philosophy Should Learn from Science," to be presented by Janet Stemwedel (San Jose State University). The APA Lecture will be held on the UNLV campus on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The American Philosophical Association is the leading philosophical learned society in North America, having been founded in 1900 and representing nearly 10,000 members. This November, the APA board of officers will hold its annual in-person meeting in Las Vegas, NV, bringing more than 25 prominent philosophers to the UNLV campus. In coordination with that meeting, Professor Stemwedel, Pacific Division representative, will present the APA Lecture to benefit the UNLV community.
