The American Philosophical Association (APA), along with Howard University's philosophy department, is pleased to announce the 6th annual APA Lecture, "False Confessions and Testimonial Injustice," to be presented by Jennifer Lackey (Northwestern University). The APA Lecture will be held on the Howard University campus on Friday, November 22, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public, with a reception to follow.

The American Philosophical Association is the leading philosophical learned society in North America, having been founded in 1900 and representing nearly 10,000 members. This November, the APA board of officers will hold its annual in-person meeting in Washington, DC, bringing more than 25 prominent philosophers to the Howard campus. In coordination with that meeting, Professor Lackey, chair of the APA committee on the status and future of the profession, will present the APA Lecture to benefit the Howard community.
