The University of Delaware Philosophy Department, in partnership with the Department of Art History, invites you to attend the Spring 2014 David Norton Memorial Lecture to be delivered by Professor Alexander Nehamas, Edmund N. Carpenter II Class of 1943 Professor in the Humanities and Professor of Philosophy and Comparative Literature at Princeton University. The title of the lecture is "Can the Art of Living Be Taught?”

The lecture will take place on Wednesday, March 5, at 5:30 pm, on the Newark campus of the University of Delaware in Memorial Hall, Room 111. Refreshments will be served immediately following the lecture. This lecture is free and open to the public.

This lecture is sponsored by the David Norton Memorial Fund honoring the late UD philosophy professor, the Makiguchi Foundation, the Class of 1955 Ethics Endowment Fund, and the American Philosophical Association.
