Position Opening: Assistant to the Secretary-Treasurer of the APA Pacific Division

The Pacific Division of the American Philosophical Association has an opening for an assistant to the secretary-treasurer. The person hired will train with the current assistant over the next year (with compensation) and will then serve a three year term as assistant beginning July 1, 2020.

Applicants must be members of the APA. Please be sure to renew your membership. The assistant to the secretary-treasurer is required to attend the annual meetings of the APA Pacific Division. The Pacific Division covers travel, lodging, and per diem meals for the annual meeting.

The responsibilities of the assistant to the secretary-treasurer include helping to manage, edit, and update the online database of users in the meeting program system, managing and entering data into the online meeting program system, managing the email server systems for the Pacific Division, assisting with assembling the meeting program, responding to emails as the support person for the Pacific Division, entering session information into the online meeting program system, copyediting the meeting program, and taking and preparing minutes for the Pacific Division’s yearly executive committee and general business meetings.
