Voting is currently underway to elect new divisional officers, a new member at large of the APA board of officers, and to consider an amendment to the association bylaws and an amendment to the Pacific Division bylaws (Pacific Division members only). Voting will remain open through next Thursday, May 21.

Please note: The Pacific Division elections were conducted during the virtual business meeting held on April 9. Members of the Pacific Division are encouraged to vote on the board member at large and the proposed amendments to the APA bylaws and Pacific Division bylaws using the ballot link below.

Eastern Division Elections

This year, the Eastern Division will elect a vice president, two members at large of the executive committee, and two members of the nominating committee. Before voting, learn more about the candidates by reading their candidate bios.

Central Division Elections

This year, the Central Division will elect a vice president, a member at large of the executive committee, and four members of the nominating committee. Before voting, learn more about the candidates by reading their candidate bios.

Member at Large of the APA Board of Officers

Following an open nomination process and deliberations by the nominating committee, three candidates now stand for election for the position of member at large of the APA’s board of officers. The person elected will serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2020.

The three candidates for election were given the opportunity to submit candidate statements, photos, and other ballot information. Please review the candidate information prior to voting.

APA Bylaws Amendment

At its meeting in November 2019, the APA board of officers proposed an amendment to the association bylaws to create a seat on the board for the chair of the APA Graduate Student Council. To be adopted, an amendment must be approved by a majority of those voting in each of the divisions. Members are encouraged to review the proposed bylaws amendment prior to voting.

Pacific Division Bylaws Amendment

At its April 2020 meeting, the Pacific Division executive committee proposed an amendment to the divisional bylaws to more explicitly reflect the division’s longstanding election procedures. To be adopted, an amendment must be approved by a two-thirds majority of those voting in the Pacific Division. Please review the proposed amendment prior to voting.

Voting Process
