Paper submissions for the 2021 APA Central Division meeting opened on May 1, and will close on Monday, June 1, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. All current members of the APA are invited to submit a paper for presentation at the meeting, which will be held February 24–27 in New Orleans, LA. Submission guidelines and information about graduate student stipends can be found on the APA website.

Note: Currently, all three APA divisions are planning to hold in-person meetings in 2021. At the same time, we are also considering alternative formats, such as virtual meetings, as contingencies in the case that our usual meeting format becomes impossible. Though external forces like the ongoing pandemic affect and inform our plans, your participation is the most critical input for planning any meeting. If you are considering submitting a session request, we encourage you to do so.

Papers are refereed in the summer and authors are informed in August whether their papers have been accepted. The full program will be published online in December 2020, and a printed version will be available at the meeting for those who request it when registering for the meeting.

Submit a paper today.

Only current members of the APA can submit a paper. If you are not a current member, you can join or renew your membership, and then submit your paper. We encourage authors to submit papers as soon as possible in order to avoid a rush in the final hours of submissions—APA staff will not be available to answer questions after 3 p.m. Eastern Time on June 1.

Prof. Shepherd, I found the submission process a bit difficult. I am concerned that my abstract might show my name. My paper is titled "On the Very Possibility of a 'Science of Consciousness'." I did not know how to recheck if I made that error. I submitted the paper on 5/28. Could you let me know? And if I made an error, how can I fix it. Also, I would be happy to serve as a commentator or in some other way at the Central APA meeting in February.
