Is "Promoting Religious Tolerance in the 21st Century" a challenge philosophers can help meet? How can great philosophers, past and present, who have encountered religious intolerance help us understand the problem? The APA committee on public philosophy is sponsoring a panel on this subject at the 2014 Central APA meeting and invites you to an online discussion before and after the meeting.

Panelists Edwin Curley, Nicholas Wolterstorff, Robert Audi, and Cristina Lafont will help us begin a serious discussion, and we hope the contributions of our experts will be an important resource. But we expect the audience online and at the Central Division APA meeting in Chicago at the end of February will also play a major role in the discussion.

The APA committee on public philosophy hopes to begin a public and civil discussion as an effort to put toleration into action.

We invite you to click on this link and help us kick start the conversation now by joining the discussion list.

Thank you for supporting the work of the APA committee on public philosophy.
