Registration is underway for the 2017 Eastern Division meeting of the American Philosophical Association, January 4–7, in Baltimore, MD.

If you’re an aspiring author, or if you have questions about publishing, you won’t want to miss the publishing workshops hosted by Cambridge University Press at this year’s meeting!

Book publishing workshop

On Thursday, January 5, at 5:15 p.m., you are invited to join commissioning editors from Cambridge University Press, De Gruyter, MIT Press, Oxford University Press, Routledge, Springer, and Wiley to learn more about how to publish your first book. Short presentations from each publisher will be followed by a Q&A session.

Journal publishing workshop

On Saturday, January 7, at 10:00 a.m., you’re invited to join journal editors, including John Heil, Editor in Chief of the Journal of the American Philosophical Association, to learn more about how to publish in journals. Short presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.

Register online now for the 2017 Eastern Division meeting!

Early bird registration rates ($115 for APA members, $230 for non-members, and $35 for student members) are available until online registration closes on December 21. Eastern meeting registration will not be available December 22 through January 3. If you don’t register online by December 21, you can still register on-site at the meeting—but note that on-site registration rates are $50 higher than early bird registration for all categories.

Please note: You’ll save an additional $5 on meeting registration if you opt not to receive a paper copy of the program. The meeting program is available online, and our free meeting app for smartphones and tablets will also contain the full program.

We look forward to seeing you in Baltimore!
