Registration Fee Waivers

Developing Countries

Registration fees are waived for scholars who reside in any of  UNESCO's list of Least Developed Countries. Scholars who qualify for this exception must email a request for a fee waiver to Elyse Purcell, secretary-treasurer of the Central Division, at  All requests must be submitted at least  two weeks prior to meeting.

K-12 and Undergraduate Students

All undergraduate and K–12 students may register for the meeting free, regardless of APA membership. We offer high school or undergraduate student group pricing as well.

Unemployed and Underemployed

Unemployed and underemployed philosophers, including retired philosophers on fixed incomes, may be eligible for a partial registration fee waiver, which reduces the registration fee to the student member early bird rate. You must be a current APA member to apply for the waiver. For more information, please fill out the  Unemployed and Underemployed contact form prior to February 7.
